STORY
The "Special Delivery" Letter
Avigdor, the once wealthy and successful merchant, was now reduced to selling his household goods to provide food for his family. Before long, there was nothing more to sell, except an old used suit that hung in a corner of the wardrobe. As he went through the pockets before selling the suit to an old clothes dealer, Avigdor came upon the letter which the Besht had asked him to deliver so many years ago!

SUMMARY
Parshat Noach
G-d tells Noach that He will bring a flood to destroy all that lives, but that Noach and his family will survive. G-d gives Noach detailed instructions for building an ark for refuge during the flood and instructions for loading the ark with two of every kind of living thing in order to perpetuate each species.
ESSAY
To See Or Not To See, To Hear Or Not To Hear
On the verse from this week's Sidra, "...clean beasts and beasts that are not clean (they came to Noah and into the ark, two by two)," the Talmud comments: "An unrefined word should never pass a man's lips, for the Torah goes out of its way and uses eight extra letters to avoid an unpleasant word."
INSIGHT
Praying For Others
A person may do all he can to improve his environment, and still fail due to circumstances beyond his control. Our Sages relate that Noach did not pray for the welfare of humanity before the Flood, unlike Moses who prayed for the welfare of those who made the Golden Calf.
